The New Yorker Magazine Documentary- "Bearing the Burden: Black Mothers in America"

Last week the New Yorker magazine released online their new 15-minute documentary (a film collaboration with the Retro Report) which focuses on the health disparities Black mothers endure in the USA. The movie paints an illuminating and poignant narrative revealing the challenges of these brave women. The film truly is beautiful and enlightening, and also sad, but there is hope that the health care system in America will evolve to become more equitable so that all women of color may deliver safely.
